Hi Gregg,

Are you comfortable talking about your faith and business? A lot of my business decisions are ridiculed by my peers simply because they are filtered through my faith first and usually aren't as edgy (ie: corrupt) as my money hungry competitors.

I remember hearing on one of your podcasts that you had similar difficulties at one point. Could you just go over some of your strategies for dealing with that?

Hey "Anonymous", great question. I have thought about that a lot. Part of my faith includes the belief in being 100% honest all the time and not working on Sunday. I'll tell you what, those two things can be tricky.

Let me give you a brief description of how I have coped with it, and how you might as well. I may even include this in the next podcast because it is that important.

Religious faith requires the sacrifice of some things with a hope of something better. When you "stick to your guns", meaning, you stay honest in your business dealings and never try to deceive, you may sacrifice some potential sales or income, but in the end get to live with two things that your friends will never have.

First, you will have safety. Corrupt practices can only be hidden for so long. Every day, businessmen are thrown in jail for swindling their company out of money. The more edgy people get, the easier it is for them to get caught and crash and burn. By being honest, you will never have anything to worry about.

Second, you will have peace of mind. You will know that you earned your money the right way and you can sleep well at night. When customers talk to you, they will notice your honesty and it will come back in the form of customer referrals, good publicity, and much much more.

Sometimes it can be hard, and I admire your desire to show integrity when others aren't, because honestly is the best way to go in the business world...always.
